161. Air and Sea

Boredom happens anywhere, even in Panderia.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
         Soaring through the clouds and skies over the island of Pandaria, the hyacinth macaw’s large wingspan moved up and down, rhythmically, as its feathers ruffled in the wind. It dived down toward a grove of trees and gently grazed the pink leaves on the large trees below before it flew upward again. There was a lyrical style to her flying, as if it were enjoying its freedom for the first time. She wasn’t locked up in a cage or held captive against her own will. She rather loved her owner and would do anything to return to his side, but for a moment, just a brief moment, Adara was free to fly wherever she wanted.
            She flew down to shore, low enough as if she was about to land, but only dipping her feet in the water before pushing upward again. Pandaren and others simply stared at the bird’s magnificent wingspan and color and she knew it all too well. In fact, she loved being the center of attention. Flying overhead in circles a few times, she looped twice and continued along her way.
            The fishing village was approaching her sight and Adara looked for signs of those she knew. The red haired elf was stood outside her hut, smiling and talking to several Pandaren children, who laughed at her curious speech as she taught them words in other languages. Adara landed beside the elf and the children gasped, pointing at it. The elf, Alaia, turned and smiling, she reached for the bird. Adara stepped onto her hand and allowed her and the children to pet her. Alaia spoke about the bird, but Adara looked around. He wasn’t there.
            The bird turned and squawked, “Lovely. Lovely.” The children laughed at the odd word the bird spoke, but Alaia blushed, pointing at herself and teaching the children the word, noting that she was called that. Caressing the bird’s head once more, Alaia pushed her arm upward and Adara flew up into the sky. The children, along with Alaia, waved the macaw goodbye.
            The bird flew toward the ocean, still enjoying the endless sky until she noticed a silver glimmer in the water. The bird soared a distance before plunging downward, toward the water and a ship sitting in the middle of nowhere. Adara caught a air stream and glided in circles around the ship with a giant silver goblin’s face. She squawked over and over as she got closer to the ship and gently landed on someone’s shoulders. Once more, she said, “Lovely!”
            The goblin, sitting on the deck, rolled his eyes and sighed. “Damn wench is checking on you!”
            The elf laughed and caressed Adara, smiling. “I’m checking on her and it seems that she’s fine.”
            “Whatever, helps you sleep, captain.” The goblin leaned back on his hands and closed his eyes. “So? Whatcha think?”
            Cristianno scratched his goatee-covered chin and looked out at the water. “You’ve traced their patterns well?”
            “No shit.” The goblin, Ziggly, opened his eyes and grinned. “Alliance and Horde. I also saw a few merchant ships and watched their routes. I figured you might want to start with those first.”
            The captain shook his head. “I don’t want to mess with the merchants unless they’re from back home. Otherwise, I’m leaving the Pandaren alone.”
            “Shit, their women are amazing!” He gestured to the shape of a female Pandaren over his crotch and laughed. Cristianno laughed as well and shook his head. “I’m telling you! Good times!”
            “Says the one who has fucked every type of woman out there.”
            “Hey, I don’t discriminate.” Ziggly waggled his eyebrows and grinned widely.
            “I wouldn’t even want to think about sleeping with a Tauren or Pandaren woman.”
            “Your loss. They were fun. Although, you’re no longer fucking anyone except your wench, so what does it matter? Now, if you want to try one out, I plan on meeting a few wenches who are more than willing to please. Want in?”
            Cristianno shook his head. “No, I’m fine.” He looked down at his hands pressing against the deck.
            “You miss it, eh? I don’t blame you. My count is going to surpass yours pretty soon.” Ziggly looked at Cristianno and smiled, but Cris never looked up.
            “Whatever.” He lifted his head and looked at Adara, who was still on his shoulder. He smiled as he petted her. “So, would we be ready? What about a crew?”
            “Wolf, I’ve already spoken to a few misfits and they’re ready to sail when you say the word. I’m pretty sure short-ass and the Kid are ready to go out on an adventure.”
            “I’m sure they are,” Cris responded. He stayed silent in thought for a moment and said, “Very well. Let’s do this.”
            Ziggly jumped to his feet and rubbed his hands together. “Fuck yeah! We’re gonna be fucking proper pirates again! I’ll get the crew. You get the two. We’ll get us some loot and get back in business!”
            Cristianno looked at his friend with a mischievous smile and a glimmer of excitement in his aquamarine eyes.
