The
Anglers in the southern Krasarang Wilds village laughed, talked, and worked as
the day turned into evening. The sun still lingered over the horizon but the pandaren
were beginning to pack their fishing gear and talking about their day,
including how many fish they had caught. Among them was a shirtless, red-haired
elf who was starting to be accepted by the anglers. His determination to assist
them and be part of the group was evident, especially when he saw pandaren in
need of help. He was usually the first one to help. Today was no different.
A
young pandaren was struggling to get his net back onto shore when the elf ran
to help him. He agreed to go into the water and release the net. He removed his
boots and ran into the water. Tugging at the net, he managed to break it lose
from it being hooked to some rocks. He saw the net get pulled away and raised
his head out of the water, waving at the Pandaren who waved back at him. Before
going back to shore, the elf submerged himself once more and swam back up,
running his hands over his long red hair.
As
he was about to turn around, he felt something sharp against his back. "I
wouldn't move, Captain," said a woman's voice in the common human
language. The man knew better than to do anything when he wasn't armed. He
closed his eyes and was about to speak but he winced as she pressed the dagger
a little more against his back. He then felt her body press against him and her
free arm wrap around him. Her added weight made him work a little harder at
keeping afloat.
"What
do you want?" he muttered. He glanced and noticed that the arm around him
was not blue, which brought him much relief. However, he still didn't know who
it was.
"I'm
surprised that you aren't armed, Captain," the woman giggled.
"However, you're much more valuable to me alive..." She licked the
back of his neck along the scar line and the elf shivered. "...lover," she whispered against his
ear.
The
elf opened his eyes and whispered, "Brisa?" The dagger moved from his
back and she continued to kiss his neck. "What are you... Brisa
wait." He tried to turn around to face her, but she ran the tip of her
dagger against his scar. He closed his eyes and tried hard to fight the
tingling sensations rushing throughout his body. The woman pulled him toward a
nearby rock, their feet barely touching the sandy ground below them.
Without
warning, he pressed against her and took her dagger from her hand, throwing it
into the water. She continued to run her fingertips along his neck and he began
to kiss her jaw, moving to her lips. Once their lips locked, her hand reached
between his legs and began to stroke him eagerly. Her fingers began to undo his
pants and she moaned as he kissed her neck. She smiled but just as soon as they
had gotten together, he was gone. She opened her eyes and saw him walking away
from her, his hands busily tying his pants back together.
"Wolf!
Wait"
"Go
away, Brisa!" he shouted out. The woman, Brisa, looked for her dagger and
once she got it, she ran after him, splashing loudly around her.
As
the elf walked past the village, the pandaren had stopped what they were doing
and stared at the woman screaming and their elf friend marching away. A pandaren
stood near a hut and stared at the elf. "Problems, Cristianno?" she
asked softly.
He
stopped and looked at her, muttering, "Nothing happened." With that,
he stomped onward.
Xuelan
blinked and shook her head, "I wasn't assuming that..." That was when
she noticed the blonde human running after him. “Oh.” She sighed softly and shook
her head, following Cristianno.
“Wolf! Stop!”
However,
he continued on. “Go
away, Brisa. I don’t know what you’re doing here, but I’m not going to get in trouble because you’re a brat.”
“That is not why I’m here! I wanted to see how
you’re
doing!”
Cristianno
stopped and turned around, extending his arms outward. “I’m fine! See? Now go away!” He turned around and
continued on. Xuelan watched the exchange between the two and simply followed
the Captain.
“Do you even give a fuck about
what I’m
doing here? I’m a
damn long way from Booty Bay, jerk!” She stopped in her tracks and stomped a foot in the sand
as she watched him stop and return toward her.
“Alright, why the fuck are you
here? I’m a
patient man when it comes to those I trust, but you’re pushing it.”
“I am not here entirely for
you, Wolf. I have a business now. At sea.” She smiled a bit. “I have my own ship.” She saw
Cristianno laugh and she crossed her arms. “I’m not kidding! Stop laughing!”
“I’m sorry. I can’t imagine you being the
captain of your ship.” He continued to laugh as Brisa rolled her eyes.
“I’m not the captain. It is my
ship, but I have someone sailing it. I’m just there to make sure my girls are safe.”
“Girls?”
She
smiled and placed her hands on her hips. “Sailors get lonely too, right? So I’m bringing my business out to
sea. The Mermaid. Ask around for it
that way and sailors know what you’re talking about. I could even make a special visit when
you leave your woman behind.” She began to walk toward him and grabbing his hips. She
pressed against him once more and kissed his neck, causing him to shudder and
close his eyes.
“Step away.”
This
time, Brisa did as she was told. “What about you? Are you still sailing?”
Cristianno
caught his breath and nodded. “Aye. I’m trying to make a name for myself as an angler, but while
we trade, we can pilfer as well.”
“Your competition is still out
trying to claim Booty Bay. Aren’t you worried you’re name will mean nothing out there if you stay here long
enough?”
“Maybe, but I’ll go back. I’ll find a way to stake my claim.” He scratched his bare chest
and Brisa noticed the scarred Horde mark on his chest.
“That might hurt you, sugar.” She pointed at the mark.
He
glanced down at the scar and shrugged. “I don’t give a fuck about factions. You know that.” Cristianno looked at Xuelan,
who was still waiting for him along the shore. “I gotta go.” He turned around and walked
toward the village. Xuelan followed.
“Well, do I at least get an
invite to dinner?”
Cristianno laughed loudly. Brisa huffed and followed them, a few steps behind
them. When the elf and the pandaren approached the hut, they both looked at
Brisa and she just smiled and shrugged.
“You’re going get my floor wet with
your clothes,” he
said.
“So are you, sexy.” Brisa winked at Cristianno
and he sighed, rolling his eyes and reaching for the door handle. He had no
idea how he was going to explain this to his wife on the other side of the
door.
