((Alright, so this intricate plan was being devised to make Cris get into serious problems next month and have him disappear off the face of the world for a while. Why would I do a thing like that? Because I was due August 16. The key word is "was". On July 5th, my beloved son entered this world and what a bumpy ride it was. At this point, I've had a few days with him but I'm still trying to learn the ropes. So until then, my rp is on hold, as well as my stories. Sorry I wasn't able to give you the amazing story several of us had planned, but we'll work on it later :) Cris will suffer :) Things will go down. Right now, though, the new love of my life needs me and I will cater to his will. I appreciate those who have sent me messages with regards to my disappearance. I will be back. The bright flame at the center of the camp cast the dancers’ shadows on the ground and every move they made was sharp and obvious. From elf to human, to tauren to dwarf, everyone who dared to dance around the fire danced with the intensity of a warrior and a lover. Even the young danced fiercely. One who stood out was a young elf, who turned and stomped his feet in the dirt. His face was so intense that instead of catcalls, he was admired with every step he took. Once he stopped dancing, the caravan applauded and he walked off to the side to catch his breath while other dancers surrounded the bonfire.

Niela leaves so the two can talk, to which Cris admits to Laerchel that Niela is his wife. This prompts Laerchel to admit something to him. That leads Cris to admit something to Tia. And we learn what happens when the soap falls into the water...

73. A Token of Truce

He took heavy step after heavy step toward the mailbox. Why am I doing this? He asked himself. Perhaps it was the lingering memories that she had left with him about their past. Perhaps it was the urge to befriend her once more and let the past die, creating a new future. Whatever it was, he was walking toward the mailbox with a white box in his hand decorated with a red ribbon.

The “Love is in the Air” festival was going strong and he had managed to get a deal on a dozen cupcakes. He had sent five to his new friend Lady Sari and he had reserved six for his beloved Niela, but there was one he packed up and headed to the mailbox.

Why am I doing this? The question kept lingering in his mind. She had tried to kill him. She had threatened to kill him. She had betrayed him. Why am I doing this? Niela would surely have stopped him if she knew what he was doing, but she was busy and this was the only opportunity he had to send his peace offering. The box had a note. On the outside, it was the drawing of a wolf’s paw print while inside the read “To Rain.”

As he approached the mailbox, he stared at it for a long while, debating if he should send the cupcake or eat it and forget about her. “No, I have to,” he whispered, as if trying to convince himself and the mailbox. He opened the box and slipped the package in, hoping that the recipient would accept his peace offering.

Peace offering? He wasn’t guilty. He wasn’t to blame. He wasn’t the one trying to kill her! He wasn’t the one who said, “Go kill yourself, Rain!” He wasn’t the one who abandoned her because he loved another woman just as much as Rain. He wasn’t at fault! Everything was her! Every misfortune that befell them both was her fault! Everything was...

“Her fault!” The scream he gave as he kicked the mailbox alarmed several elves around him. That’s when he realized that he had screamed the last few thoughts he had. The cupcake had been sent. There was no retrieving it. Cristianno sighed and hung his head. The worst that could happen was that she would toss the cupcake away. After all, she wasn’t the same woman he once loved. That woman left the moment she left him for the rogue. The cupcake was gone. Sent. On it’s way.

Cris took a deep breath and walked away. Niela would know. He would tell her. As for Rain…she was just a memory. Nothing more.

72. My Love

I find it funny because we were JUST talking about inspiration for rp and Moulin Rouge has always been something that had popped in our heads. Setting sail once more, Cris and his crew return to the sea looking for jobs and the occasional bounty. However, wounded from a previous fight with his ex and a recent fight with unwanted enemies, Cris is left to deal with not only his physical wounds, but his emotional wounds as well.

Cris goes along with Rain's brother Dorini and her incarnation with the intent of waking the comatose Rain. However, upon succeeding, Rain stabs Cris and followed by Dorini's volley of arrows, Cris is rescued by Niela and they both escape to avoid any further fighting. To their luck, Tia'Zula finds them and is able to mend both of them. However, the sleepless nights have only just begun for the pirate.
